How does ColdSense work where there is no Wi-Fi or internet?

ColdSense communicates over the NB-IoT mobile network, which has broad coverage including indoor spaces. The sensor needs no local infrastructure and no network configuration.

Do we lose data when the signal drops?

No. The sensor has internal memory, so it keeps measuring without a connection. As soon as the signal returns it fills the measured data into the app by itself. You only lose data during a long outage in the order of days. How many hours the sensor holds depends on the measurement frequency.

How long does the battery last and how do I know it is running low?

In ideal conditions the battery lasts up to 3 years. It depends on signal strength and how often you need to send data. The cloud platform watches the battery status of every device and notifies you when it runs low, so you can plan the replacement well ahead.

Can I export data for GDP, GMP or HACCP audits?

Yes. All measurements are stored with a time stamp in the cloud and can be exported at any time for GDP, GMP, HACCP and veterinary inspections as clear reports.

Does ColdSense meet pharmaceutical requirements (GDP/GMP)?

Yes. Automatic temperature records with time stamps, ISO/IEC 17025 calibration certificates and a complete audit trail are ready for the GDP and GMP requirements for medicines and thermolabile materials.

Can ColdSense measure extreme temperatures such as dry ice or industrial ovens?

Yes. The ColdSense EXT model with a thermocouple probe measures across the range of the probe used (from -200 to +1200 °C), so it handles dry ice and industrial ovens.

How fast can ColdSense be deployed and do I need IT support?

ColdSense works right after delivery. Just place the device at the measuring point and sign in to the app. No infrastructure installation and no IT support is needed, all management happens in the web application.
