Optimization of collection of used
textiles, footwear, and electrical waste
Implementation of solution for monitoring the fill level of containers for used textiles, footwear and electronics allows to plan collection of submitted items efficiently.
Containers are distributed throughout the country and the cost of collection can reach 60% of the operating costs. These containers are filled irregularly and real-time knowledge of whether there is something in the container is crucial for collection planning. The use of solution to monitor fill levels will thus allow to reduce costs by up to 30% mainly by eliminating unnecessary trips, adjusting collection routes, and increasing of the effective load of collection vehicles.
DistSense solution is proven throughout the Czech Republic, measuring at short time intervals and in addition to providing information on fill level, both in the form of distance data or fill percentages, it works even in difficult conditions (metal containers, underground containers, containers with noise chains, etc.). The web application allows also for dump detection and gives information on approximate location.

Use of the devices for continuous monitoring of container fill levels in cities and towns allows to obtain detailed statistics about the process of filling and the overall use of containers in different locations, including changes related to changes in human behavior caused by e.g. pandemics. Cities and municipalities can use this data not only to streamline waste collection process and reduce costs, but also to adjust the container location or make changes in the dumps frequency and therefore to increase the comfort of its residents regarding waste management.

Smart system for securing of waste containers
The Smart Access solution offers a fully automated access system for electronic security of containers for separated or mixed waste, as well as any other containers.
The whole solution was developed for the future elimination of mechanical locks and the associated key distribution, but also for other ways of monitoring the efficiency of waste sorting, etc.
The solution consists of a mechanical and electronic part of the lock, including an NFC reader and a web application for assigning and administering rights for opening containers. Opening is then enabled by a special card, key fob or mobile phone. Devices are powered by a battery with lifespan of several years.
